Optional Vouchers in TallyPrime – A Step-by-Step Guide

An Optional Voucher in TallyPrime is a temporary voucher that does not affect the books of accounts unless converted into a regular voucher. It is useful for forecasting, budget planning, and verifying transactions before finalizing them.

Uses of Optional Vouchers

  • To create provisional entries for future transactions.
  • To test the impact of transactions before confirming them.
  • Helps in budgeting and forecasting without affecting accounts.
  • Used to store draft transactions for later modification.

 

Go to vouchers and select any voucher and see right sidebar – optional by default vouchers are are regular mode if you want to record details in optional mode then you can enable clicking on its button to on or off.

after saving the voucher see reports by clicking

Click on Exceptions reports

See voucher and once convert it regular

 

and save it

after saving voucher see receipt note voucher report it will start seen,

as it you can apply another voucher as your need
